Partial Table-of-Contents
The routines listed here create geometric Objects such as ribbons,
tubes, glyphs, backgrounds, and geometric text.
They are implemented by creating Field or Group Objects that can then
be rendered.
For detailed descriptions of these routines, see
Appendix C. "Data Explorer Library Routines".
Data Explorer supports two varieties of text: geometric and annotation.
Geometric text is implemented by stroke and area fonts that can be
arbitrarily rotated and scaled before rendering.
Annotation text is geometric text that has been transformed so that it
always faces the screen.
It is supported by a combination of a text routine listed below
and the Screen Object described in
Chapter 16. "Rendering".
Object DXGetFont()
| Returns a Group containing the specified font.

| Produces an Object consisting of the given String.
