Grading Scheme:
The overall grading in this course will be based on an 80 minute Mid-term exam, which will count for 30% of the overall grade, and a 3-hour Final Exam, which will count for 70%.
HW problems will be assigned every other Thursday---on April 9, April 23, May 7, and May 21---and their solutions will be posted on the website a week later---on April 16, April 30, May 14, and May 28. However, they will not be collected for grading; they will be meant for your own work-out and for your own understanding. To motivate you to work on these problems diligently, I may tell you that the problems set in the Midterm and the Final exams will be very much like the ones assigned as HW---so, you better take them seriously!
The Midterm exam will take place during the class hour on Tuesday, May 5 and the Final exam will be held on Tuesday, June 9, between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
